1) Today I woke up without having the thought "more sleep", opened the bright curtains for sunlight, then looked for awhile at someone in the mirror and thought she is beautiful

2) This dark and rainy morning I woke and stumbled out of bed to gaze in a mirror at tired eyes and a speechless face surrounded by defiant black curls that had somehow worked themselves into a real 'fro and I thought well somehow she is beautiful anyway
